Moleskine

For as long as remember, I've always carried a sketchbook and pen wherever I go. A lot of people that witnessed my compulsive drawing habit during various travels urged me to publish the illustrations in some form, and ten years ago I released the first collection of drawings, entitled "Gadus morhua". Since then, two other volumes have been published.

Traditional drawing is a way of counterbalancing the predominantly digital work I do most of the time, and the spontaneous freehand doodling (i.e. no preliminary sketches or preparations) almost had meditative qualities. Some of these pieces turned into client work or served as inspiration for other projects, whereas others were just for fun.

The books feature hundreds of illustrations in different styles ("achingly cute" and "bizarre" were phrases used in the press release).
